Body washes up on West of Ireland island

THE body of a man has washed up on an island of the west of Ireland coast.

The body was discovered on one of the Aran Islands.

The middle-aged man's body was found on Inishmaan by a member of the public at around 8.30pm on Friday, RTÉ reports.

A postmortem exam is now being carried out in University College Hospital Galway.
