'Come with me if you want to live!' - Arnold Schwarzenegger receives first dose of Covid-19 vaccine

ARNOLD Schwarzenegger, 73, has received his first dose of the Covid-19 jab in Los Angeles.

The former governor and body building champion said that he has "never been happier to wait in line", as he joked with nurses and expressed his relief at being vaccinated.

In a nod to fans of the Terminator movies, the star of the six-part sensation dropped some classic lines from the films.

“Today was a good day. I have never been happier to wait in a line. If you're eligible, join me and sign up to get your vaccine. Come with me if you want to live!", he said, while visibly grinning through his mask.

"Put that needle down!", he also quipped to the nurse in reference to his oft quoted Jingle All the Way quote, "Put that cookie down!".

Following the quick and painless procedure, the nurse said, "All done!", as she applied a band aid to the ex-bodybuilder’s mammoth bicep.

Some fans noted that he missed a golden opportunity to quip, "I’ll be back", though, in reference to returning for his second Covid-19 shot.
