Cyclists outraged after Irish rider hit by biker who uploads clip to YouTube

CYCLISTS have expressed their outrage across social media after a motorcyclist uploaded a video that appears to show him knocking down an Irish cyclist.

The unidentified motorcyclist seems to run down the cyclist – who is correctly using the cycling lane - and then shouts at him for getting in his way.

The cyclist, who speaks with an Irish accent, is then forced to untangle his bike from the motorcycle.

Many on Facebook and Twitter have strongly criticised the motorcyclist and believe he should be punished. Others have labelled him as foolish for uploading a video that seems to show his guilt.

He has since taken down the video although an edited version has been posted by cycling safety campaigner the Suicyclist.

In the video the man on the bike sees the cyclist hit the floor before turning back and asking, “What the hell do you think you are doing?”

He then proceeds to give out to him for using his phone on the road.

When the cyclist asks if that was the reason for his road rage, he shouts at the cyclist for being in the wrong lane. A policewoman then gets involved.

Are you the Irish cyclist who was involved in this incident? Do you know who the Irish cyclist is? We’d love to hear from you. Contact editor@http://http://irishpost.co.uk
