Carp a load of this! Models pose alongside prize catch for fishing calendar

SOMETHING FISHY is going on in the world of calendars.

For the past six years, scantily clad women have been posing alongside some of the finest looking carp on offer in the world of fishing.

All for entirely valid reasons, of course.

It’s called the Carponizer and it’s the perfect Christmas gift for anyone who loves calendars, fishing, women or, ideally, all three.

The brainchild of German angler Hendrik Pohler, the 30-year-old angler was keen to create something that combined his love of fish and women.

 

Carponizer was the result and while it’s not likely to be to everyone’s tastes, it’s proven to be a hit with fans online.

The 2019 Carponizer calendar can be purchased on Amazon for £16.26 and has already racked up a string of great reviews.

“Bought for my cousin as his a carp fisherman and he loves it I buy it for him every yea,” one wrote.

“Amazing my partner brought this for his friend as a joke Xmas pressie, excellent,” another added.

 

This reviewer kept it simple:

"Attractive women with big fish. Good quality prints on good quality paper."

The very best review was this gem:

"If you're looking for a calendar with lots of (human) female nudity, this ain't for you. If you like unclothed carp, well, that's your business. If you're looking for a wall calendar to record when to pick up the dry cleaning or de-tick the dog, this ain't for you either."

"But, if you love the absurd and have a sense of humor, this is it. I keep it next to my workbench, and when I can't get something to fit, or strip a screw, or send some essential widget bouncing under the furnace, then I look at this thing, remember to put everything in perspective, and get a weird half-smile on my face. Life is full of frustrations, and this calendar has saved me a small mint worth of therapy."

 

While the weirdest was undoubtedly this effort:

"In Japan there is a baseball team called "Hiroshima Carp". We call women who support that team "Carp Girls". I thought that this calendar is just worthy of "Carp Girls". The woman's eyes looking at the carp are reminiscent of the figure of a woman who supports love and affectionate teams. I think that this calendar should be sold in Japan by all means."
