A GARDA officer on checkpoint duty in Dublin has been injured after being struck by a car.
The incident happened at the junction of Baggott Street and Waterloo Road.
The male driver and female passenger abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene after the 4 x 4 car crashed into a wall on Waterloo Road.
Emergency services are currently at the scene, and it is understood the Garda has been taken to hospital.
