Injuries after car collides with crowd of people in Manchester

FIVE people have been injured after a car collided with a crowd of people in Manchester.

The incident took place at around 9.50pm at Europa Way in Trafford Park, about three miles from the city centre.

Police are currently trying to trace the vehicle after the car failed to stop.

Emergency services are currently at the scene.

Greater Manchester Police say there is nothing at this stage to suggest the incident is terror-related.

A spokesman for the North West Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 9.49pm to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrians.

“We currently have five patients, all in a serious condition.

“We have four ambulances, an advanced paramedic, a senior clinician and three hazardous area response teams (HART) at the scene.”
