The Irish weather forecast this week is the one we've been waiting for

TODAY IN Ireland is a bit of a scorcher, by Irish standards at least.

I personally left my house this morning very foolishly in three layers of clothes, my standard uniform for braving the Irish elements on a daily basis. But today, boy did I get my sartorial choices wrong.

The sun, only out in glimpses this morning has set high for the day, leaving most of the country desperate to take off the scarves and jackets we're so accustomed to in this unpredictable weather.

Those who are more than happy to see the Irish sun for a bit will be delighted to know that the dry weather is only set to continue.

Conditions will reportedly remain bright and dry this evening, so get that washing out!

For tomorrow's weather, the sun and warmth is here once again, with very mild or warm heat alongside moderate southerly breezes. Temperatures have been predicted as being between 15 to 19 degrees Celsius.

Thursday will be bright and sunny once more, A dry day with highs of 15 to 17 degrees to stabilise.

Friday will continue the theme of sunny bright weather too, with high temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees to stay around the country.

The weekend, most importantly, is to also stay sunny and bright, with good sunshine promised for this Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday will be mostly dry with sunny spells. It's said a few showers may break out near the West and Southwest coast.

Temperatures will once again be in the late teens, with maximum 16 to 18 degrees predicted.

Mild and warm has also been recommended for Sunday to finish the week off on a good note.
