LOUIS WALSH has responded in hilarious fashion to the news Prince William and Kate have given their third child his name.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge confirmed their newborn son would be named Louis Arthur Charles in a statement issued today.
Fans on Twitter were quick to joke on Twitter that the child was seemingly named in after the Irish TV legend.

Somebody wake me up, my dream is becoming too surreal. Peace in Korea, royal baby named after Louis Walsh and ABBA to reunite. What next? Aliens make contact with International Space Station?

Though it's more likely that he was named in honour of the late Lord Louis Mountbatten, Walsh was nevertheless happy to get in on the joke.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Walsh gave his verdict on the baby name news - and it was definite "yes" from the talent show judge.
In fact, he went as far as to make a bold prediction about the young Prince's possible future career:
Louis told The Sun: "He looks like a pop star, he sounds like a pop star and, with a name like Louis, he's definitely going to be a royal pop star!"
Walsh wasn't the only X Factor alumni to get in on the act either, with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson also getting involved in the craic on Twitter.
Young Louis welcome to the world. I’ll take you under my wing lad. The Adidas tracksuit is in the post!
