A MAN has died in Ireland after being struck by a car on a motorway in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened on the northbound side of the M9 motorway between the Athy and Kilcullen exits in Co. Kildare at around 3.30am.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, however the driver was not injured.
Northbound traffic is being directed off the motorway at Junction 3 while gardaí carry out a forensic investigation.
