Man and woman attacked by two men while parked in car in an Irish town

AN investigation is now underway after a man and a women were allegedly attacked by two men while they were sitting in their parked car.

The incident, which took place on April 9 at around 9.30pm at Garden City in Ashbourne in Co. Meath, is now under investigation by gardaí.

The men drove off in a silver car and to date no arrests have been made, The Sun reports.

The man and the woman received non life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí said the man - who was in the driver's side of the car - and the female passenger were allegedly assaulted after two men approached the vehicle.

A 19-year-old woman was also reportedly the victim of a minor attack in the nearby town of Ratoath just hours earlier at Riverwalk around 4.30pm.
