Man arrested after woman hospitalised following assault at home in Meath

A MAN has been arrested after a woman was left hospitalised following an alleged assault at a home in Kiltale, Co. Meath.

The incident occurred between 8.30pm and 9.15pm on Sunday, October 22 at a home on the Trim Road, gardaí have confirmed.

The victim, aged in her 40s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital to be treated for injuries which the police force describes as “serious but non-life threatening”.

A man, aged in his 40s, has been arrested in relation to the incident.

He is due to appear before Trim District Court this morning (October 24).

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact them.

“Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), and who were in the area between 8:30pm and 9:15pm, are asked to make this footage available to gardaí,” they state.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Trim Garda Station on 046 948 1540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
