Officers searching for missing Belfast teen Noah Donohoe confirm a body has been found

POLICE SEARCHING for missing teenager Noah Donohoe have recovered a body, it has been confirmed.

The 14-year-old boy has been missing from his home in south Belfast since Sunday evening and was last seen in the Shore Road area of north Belfast around 6.11pm.

Noah was seen falling off his bike and acting strangely, leading police to believe he may have sustained a head injury in the fall.

A huge search operation has been taking place all week to find Noah, who was last seen in areas close to the Shore Road.

A PSNI statement said: “Police can confirm that a body was recovered in the North Belfast area just before 9.45am today.

"Officers believe it is the missing teenager Noah Donohoe and are continuing to provide support to his family at this very difficult time.

“Enquiries are continuing and there are no further details at this stage.”

Officers previously found a bag containing the teenager’s laptop and book.

A 26-year-old male was also arrested in the early hours of Friday morning on suspicion of improper use of public electronic communications network and he is currently helping with enquiries.

It followed the circulation of several social media posts related to the disappearance that were criticised for being misleading by the authorities.
