Rail services stopped due to fire in Leinster

TRAIN services in the area of county Dublin have been suspended due to a fire that broke out late last night.

The fire occurred in Bray, in a signalling equipment room at a station at approximately 11.30pm last night.

The services operating between the stops of Dalkey and Greystones have been temporarily stopped due to the fire that damaged equipment necessary to operate the DART.

According to RTÉ, Iarnród Éireann have stated that the service will not be put back into place until Monday morning at least.

The fire has not been deemed as suspicious activity by an Garda Síochána and is believed to have started within the relay room used as part of the Dalkey and Greystones service.
