A TEENAGER has died following a single-vehicle collision on an island off the coast of Co. Mayo.
The incident happened at around 1am today at The Quay, Clare Island, Westport.
The male teen, who was the only occupant in the car, was fatally injured after the vehicle collided with a ditch.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area has been closed off while gardaí carry out a forensic examination of the scene.
