How to turn an ordinary roast chicken into an edible version of the Alien facehugger

IN SPACE no one can hear you scream but it’s an entirely different situation in the kitchen.

With Friday, April 26th marking the annual Alien day, The Irish Post has come up with the perfectly culinary tribute to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic – written by the Irish-American scribe Dan O’Bannon, no less.

Sourced from the suitably demented EatTheDead, this delightful roast chicken recipe might be better suited to Halloween but is guaranteed to scare off any guests heading over for a Sunday lunch, whatever the situation.

Made using a tasty combination of roast chicken, crab legs and chicken sausage tail, be sure to give yourself plenty of time before getting to work on this recipe – 24 hours to be precise.

Here’s everything you need to know.
