Former Ireland under 21 international set to join Glasgow Rangers

NEW Glasgow Rangers manager Mark Warburton has moved quickly to agree terms with Wigan Athletic for ex Republic of Ireland under 21 international Rob Kiernan.

Within 48 hours of being appointed Warburton has acted swiftly to seal a deal worth a reported £200,000.

Kiernan was on the verge of a switch from Wigan Athletic to Birmingham City, but is expected to play again for former Brentford chief Warburton.

Twenty four year old Kiernan is well known to Warburton having worked with him previously at Watford and Brentford.
