Ireland will start their 2024 Six Nations campaign against France

THE SIX NATIONS 2024 fixtures have been released today and Ireland start with a very difficult test against France.

Andy Farrell's men beat the French in week 2 of this year's Six Nations in one of the best games of rugby ever.

The 2024 game will take place on Friday, February 2.

This will be Ireland's first Friday game since the 2017 defeat to Wales.

France's home games are played at the Stade de France every year, but that won't be the case next year as preparation for the 2024 summer Olympics Games in Paris will take place in the venue.

Ireland then have back-to-back home matches at Aviva Stadium in Round 2 and 3, with Italy visiting Dublin on Sunday, February 11. This will be followed by Wales vs Ireland on Saturday, February 24.

Ireland will then head to Twickenham to face England on Saturday, March 9.

Ireland close out the campaign with a home tie against Scotland in Dublin on Saturday, March 16.

Commenting on the 2024 Guinness Six Nations fixtures, Ben Morel, CEO of Six Nations Rugby, said: “A constant of the Guinness Six Nations is the drama, unpredictable storylines, and rivalries playing out over five unmissable rounds of fixtures. This is what drives the sheer excitement fans have for this great Championship.

“We see it every year when the fixtures are confirmed. Fans, media, and players are talking about the games, the rivalries and debating the results. Thanks to our comprehensive broadcast partnerships and coverage, we can bring every moment of the Championship to fans all over the world, and it is exciting to help fans look forward to what is in store for 2024.”

Ireland's next game in the 2023 Six Nations will be against Scotland on March 12.
