Ireland WNT face Zambia WNT today

The Ireland Women's national team will take on Zambia in a friendly in the Tallaght  Stadium today.

The game will see a number of familiar faces take to the pitch for the 7.30pm kick-off. Stars like Katie McCabe, Amber Barrett, Courtney Brosnan, and others will be looking for valuable minutes ahead of Ireland's inaugural World Cup next month.

This will be the first meeting of the two nations at the Senior Women's level. Zambia is just the third African opponent that Ireland WNT will have faced, following games against South Africa (Cyprus Cup) and Morocco (International Friendly).

The Thursday night encounter will be broadcast live on RTÉ2.
