PAUL O’Connell is set to join French giants Toulon on a two year deal following the Rugby World Cup.
The Irish Times are reporting that the move might even be announced in the next week following Munster’s Guinness Pro 12 final against Glasgow Warriors at Ravenhill.
It is suggested that O’Connell, whose contract with the IRFU expires next summer, will declare his intentions shortly.
O’Connell’s switch to Toulon, who have won three European Cups in a row, needs approval from Munster and the IRFU, but considering his distinguished service for both provincial and national teams that isn’t expected to be a problem.
