The first live broadcast fixtures have been confirmed for the League of Ireland in 2023

The League of Ireland and RTÉ have announced its first live games for broadcast ahead of the 2023 Season with newly promoted Cork City hosting Bohemians in the first live game of the season on the opening night of the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division.Derry City’s St Patrick’s Day fixture with Sligo Rovers will be broadcast live on RTÉ2 on March 17 while Damien Duff’s Shelbourne host Derry City on March 31 in front of RTÉ cameras.The full details of the first three games in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division announced are:

  • Friday, 17 February, 2023 – Cork City FC v Bohemian FC, Turner's Cross, KO 19:45, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player
  • Friday, 17 March, 2023 - Derry City FC v Sligo Rovers FC, The Ryan McBride Brandywell, KO 19:45, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player
  • Friday, 31 March, 2023 - Shelbourne FC v Derry City FC, Tolka Park, KO 19:45, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player

There is an increase in live League games to 18 for the 2023 season as well as RTÉ broadcasting the FAI Men’s Cup Semi-Finals and Final alongside the FAI Women’s Cup Final. There is also one more fixture change in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division as follows:
  • Dundalk FC v UCD AFC, originally scheduled for Monday, 5 June, 2023, at 7:45pm will now take place at 5pm on same date at Oriel Park
