Comedian Pamela Joyce's impression of an Irish mammy in summer is spot on

ACTOR Comedian, iRadio DJ and self-described 'messer', Pamela Joyce is a master of impressions, but she's particularly good at sending up Irish mammies.

In her latest comedy video, she brilliantly parodies Irish mammies when the sun is out.

Joyce began posting the humorous videos to Facebook about a year ago, but said she had no idea it would take off like it has (27,000 like and counting).

The 23-year-old was born and lives in Galway, where she works for popular station iRadio. "I started the page just over a year ago with no intention of it going as long as it has. It was just so friends and family would see me up to no good, I never thought it would be as popular as it is", Joyce told The Irish Post.

As for the inspiration, she says it is "100 per cent my own lovely mother, Kitty. She is a Mayo woman and is the mammiest mammy there is."

Bur how does Kitty feel about having her daughter poke fun at her? "She loves the videos", says Joyce. "She thinks they're spot on and her and her friends often sit around and watch them after a few glasses of vino. She also features regularly on my Snapchat, she loves the camera!"
