Country chart-topper Derek Ryan heads back to Britain with his biggest hits tour

COUNTRY music sensation Derek Ryan marks his return to Britain this March and September.

Ryan promises his brand new ‘Hits’ concert tour, which has already been a sell-out across Ireland, will be his most exciting show yet - as it features the singer’s biggest songs and fan-favourite, classic hits that made him one of Ireland’s best-selling country singer/songwriters.

Songs old and new will be featured on the setlist, such as the self-penned ‘God’s Plan’ to arguably the singer’s biggest hit ‘Hold On To Your Hat’.

A busy schedule for 2020 will see Derek bring his tour in March to venues in Birmingham, St Helens, Reading and Hunstanton, before he returns once again in September for gigs in Langholm, Motherwell, Arbroath, Inverurie and Fort William in Scotland.

Balancing huge demand from dancehall and theatre audiences with his constant desire to create new music, Ryan has released ten best-selling studio albums to date - with his latest 21-track collection album, aptly called ‘The Hits’, showcasing the songs that firmly cemented the Carlow singer’s position at the top table of Irish Country music’s elite.

A multi-award winner, Ryan’s gongs include Songwriter of the Year, Album of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.

And many artists have recorded his songs over the years, including Daniel O’ Donnell, Foster and Allen, Philomena Begley and Jimmy Buckley, underlining the industry-wide admiration for his songwriting talents.

Considering his hectic schedule last year alone, which included sold-out tours in both Ireland and Scotland, festival appearances in France and Denmark, a headline slot at the SSE Arena, Belfast and a number of Summer Festival top-bill sets, Ryan’s British-based fans will no doubt be delighted to see the singer back on their home soil.

Derek Ryan’s new album is out now. Tickets for ‘The Hits’ concert tour in Birmingham, St Helens, Reading, Hunstanton, and further Scottish dates in September are available from theatre box offices and here.
