KATIE Melua is set to release her sixth studio album entitled Ketevan on September 16.
The Belfast-raised singer will premiere the album's first single, I Will Be There, at the Coronation Gala at Buckingham Palace this evening (July 11).
The album will be released on the same date as both her 29th birthday and the ten year anniversary since her début album Call Off The Search topped the charts.
This first album featured two songs that she wrote, including Belfast (Penguins and Cats).
The song was inspired by Georgian-born Melua’s upbringing in Northern Ireland.
Melua moved to Belfast with her family in 1993, living close to Falls Road, and they remained here for six years before heading to England.
It was once Melua attended the Brit School in South London that her music career took off; she signed to British independent record label Dramatico at the age of 18.
She became one of Britain’s most successful recording artists of the millennium after releasing her 2003 single The Closest Thing To Crazy.
Her following album Piece By Piece and its lead track Nine Million Bicycles introduced Melua to a global audience and she became the bestselling British female artist throughout the world.
Subsequent albums Pictures, The House and 2012's Secret Symphony further showcased her unique voice but did not perform as well in Britain.
Songs featured on the upcoming album Ketevan include: This Is The Love I'm Frightened Of, Never Felt Less Like Dancing, Idiot School and Love Is A Silent Thief.
The Irish-educated musician has sold more than 11 million albums and received 56 platinum awards.
She will be performing at a number of shows and festivals across Europe this summer, leading to her special 10th anniversary concert at The Roundhouse in London on October 2.
