Irish theatre company take on a trio of Chekhov and Wilde

THEATRE group Charm Offensive was established by Irish director Gavin McAlinden back in 2001.

Since then the British, Irish and American plays the company has staged have enjoyed positive reviews.

McAlinden’s next project is a three-week ‘mini-rep’ season of a trio of new productions of well-known texts in London.

To begin, Chekhov’s classic Three Sisters, starring Irish actress Roisin Keogh in the leading role of Irina (pictured opposite) begins on April 6, while Chekov’s other famous work The Seagull runs from April 8-25.

A new adaptation of the Oscar Wilde classic comedy of blackmail, honour and political corruption, An Ideal Husband, runs from April 7-24.

The three plays run at Theatrro Technis, 26 Crowndale Road, Camden, NW1 1TT.
