Irish WWE star Becky Lynch praised for helping fan who suffered seizure at event

IRISH WRESTLING legend Becky Lynch went one step further to securing her status as a firm fan favourite during an autograph signing event in Nebraska last week.

The Limerick-born grappler is having a great time in WWE right now, with her in-the-ring persona as “The Man” where her athleticism and winning personality has gone down a storm with wrestling addicts young and old.

Lynch is so much more than just another wrestler though, as she demonstrated during an signing event in Nebraska on Friday, March 15th.

In a series of tweets posted online, it was revealed that the Irishwoman had come to the aid of a stricken fan who began having a seizure while walking up a flight of staris to meet her.

Initially it was though that Lynch had simply gone to meet the fan because they were struggling to get up the steps.

"Becky is the nicest person ever and I haven’t even talk to her yet but a lady was unable to get up the stairs and she HOPPED tf up to run and hug her and sign her picture,” one tweeted.

However, the reality of the situation soon emerged online.

“I almost forgot to tell you guys, Becky Lynch is a really fucking good person,” Jon O’Malley tweeted.

“A girl had a seizure in line at the signing, started shaking uncontrollably and couldn’t make it up the stairs. Becky ran and held her tight as she could for like 5 minutes until it completely stopped.”

The Irish wrestling star garnered plenty of praise for her actions.

One fan responded to O'Malley: "As someone who suffers from epilepsy myself, if you EVER run into Becky again, please tell her i said thank you for her doing that, I remember what it was like to have those types of seizures as a kid, and they can be terrifying when you feel you have no control."

Lynch is on course for arguably her biggest year in the world of sports entertainment.

The 32-year-old, who grew up in Dublin, sis et to go toe-to-toe with Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania 35 in a triple threat match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Flair is the daughter of wrestling icon Ric Flair and has been a major figure in WWE for several years now, while Rousey needs little in the way of an introduction given her UFC background.

It could be a match to remember – no surprises for guessing who we’ll be rooting for.
