Kodaline: 'Harry Styles could use song we wrote for solo album'

KODALINE have sparked fears of a One Direction split, after claiming to have penned a song for Harry Styles’ solo album.

The Irish four-piece revealed that they have co-written a song about unrequited love with Styles, as they spoke of working with the curly-haired member of one of the world’s biggest boy bands.

Singer Steve Garrigan explained that it was one of many songs that Styles could use on a solo album in the future.

"There are hundreds of songs flying around," he said.

"It could be on his album, if he does something.  But I don't know.  Nothing is set in stone."

Garrigan added that the writing session was unplanned, as Styles had attended one of their shows and told them he was a fan of their music.

"We had a bit of free time and so we went to the studio, and wrote a song.  It was good fun," he said.
