Irish couple flying with baby hand out surprise gift to fellow Aer Lingus passengers...and it's a real treat

FLYING with a baby isn’t always easy – but one Irish couple came up with an ingenious way to appease their fellow passengers.

The couple were travelling with baby Caoimhe on a long haul flight from Dublin to Washington DC and were clearly worried that she might have a boisterous episode somewhere over the Atlantic.

So in an effort to sweeten the deal for their fellow fliers, the parents gave a goodie bag filled with chocolate treats to every passenger.

The care packages also included a note that read: "Hi! My name is Caoimhe. I'm usually smiley and sweet but I can't promise I won't make a peep.

“Here are some earplugs and treats for you to keep. Enjoy your flight!"

Fellow passenger Andy O’Regan shared a picture of his lovely gift to Facebook and said there was no need to worry as the little tot was well-behaved throughout the flight.

“Ahh lads on the flight yesterday and a couple with a young baby sitting in front of me gave this bag of sweets with this note inside to apologise in case she started crying,” Andy said.

“Baby Caoimhe turned out to be very good and hardly made a peep the entire 7 hours!”

What a (literally) sweet gesture...
