Searches for 'Muff' up 300 per cent after Irish village becomes butt of joke on Australian TV

INTERNET searches for Muff in Co. Donegal have tripled after the Irish village was lampooned on an Australian game show.

Family Feud host Grant Denyer was left in tears after learning that one of the families competing on the show hails from the unfortunately named town.

The clip of Denyer's hysterics has been viewed over 2.5 million times on Facebook since the show aired earlier this week.

Many Irish people will be familiar with the area but it appears internet users around the world can't get enough of Muff.

According to Google Trends, searches for 'Muff' have soared by a whopping 322 per cent since Sunday.

It goes without saying that the word doesn't only apply to a border town in Donegal, and this Australian TV host just couldn't get over it…
