The exhibition will be staged in the Union Inn in Levenshulme from this Friday (March 8) until March 18.
The organisers of the show which is being sponsored by the Manchester-Mayo Gathering and Mayo.ie and will feature both old and contemporary photographs taken in Attymass in County Mayo.
Photographer Tony Hennigan, who is the curator of the exhibition, said: "We wanted to do something to promote our forthcoming Manchester-Mayo Gathering which is part of the flagship Mayo North Gathering in August.
"Our nine day festival is being launched at the internationally famous 'Fr Peyton Centre' in Attymass on the August 1.
"It is also the birth place of my parents and we still have a cottage there. I have lots of my own photographs, but I wanted to try and include something from the diaspora who are scattered around the globe."
The exhibition will be a mixture of photographs taken of the community, its abundance of lakes, mountains and wildlife.
