£30,000 worth of steroids found in Ulster

THREE MEN have been arrested following the mass seizure of steroids in Belfast.

The drugs were found at a property in the east of the city by the PSNI.

The search, which was conducted at Castlereagh Street in the area, found a large quantity of class C drugs which was found to be worth the value of £30,000.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the seizure - a 32 year old man, a 47 year old man and a man believed to be 63 years of age.

Speaking to Belfast Telegraph, Inspector Keith Hutchinson said the intelligence team within the PSNI led them to the discovery: "Our proactive intelligence led search took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers from the Titanic Neighbourhood Team acting upon information received, entered the premises and recovered steroids with a value of approximately £30,000.

The inspector appealed to anyone with information regarding the drugs seizure to get in contact: "This shows our commitment to address the issue of illegal drug use and supply in the east Belfast area, and I would encourage anyone with any information which could assist us to contact police in Strandtown on 101.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
