‘Beautiful inside and out’ – tributes as woman, 19, dies in Tipperary collision

TRIBUTES have been paid to a young woman who tragically died in a road traffic collision in Co, Tipperary on Tuesday.

Laura Quinn, 19, died when the car she was driving collided with a tree on the N24 at Ballydrehid, Cahir at around 8.30am.

The Irish Mirror reports that Ms Quinn, who worked as a beautician, was travelling to work when the incident occurred.

Her body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post mortem is due to take place.

Ms Quinn was a contestant in the Pride of Tipperary event in 2017.

Event organisers paid tribute to her tonight on Facebook, describing her as a ‘beautiful young woman, inside and out’.

“On behalf of the Pride of Tipperary Committee, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Laura Quinn, who tragically passed away this morning,” said the statement.

“Laura was a Pride of Tipperary contestant in 2017, and was a truly beautiful young woman, inside and out.

“She was a kind and caring young lady who made some wonderful friends during her 2 weeks as a Pride contestant.

“We are deeply saddened that Laura’s life was cut short so suddenly. But we remember her as a shining light and a wonderful person.

“May Laura’s beautiful soul rest in peace.”
