Belfast to Liverpool ferry evacuated after report of ‘device’ on board

A FERRY docked in Belfast that was bound for Liverpool had to be evacuated after a report a device had been placed on board.

The bomb scare happened on Saturday night, with police managing to safely evacuate all passengers.

The PSNI and Harbour Police then carried out a search of the ship.

Nothing was found and passengers were allowed to board the vessel again, which eventually departed for Liverpool.
