Chocolate snow falls from the sky on Swiss town after defect in chocolate factory

THIS IS literally every kid's dream.

And when I say kid, I mean... everyone and anyone with a sweet tooth.

In a scene that could have come straight from Roald Dahl's Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, a small town in Switzerland woke up to flakes of icy chocolate falling from the sky..

Lindt, the company known for making some of the sweetest and smoothest chocolate you can find on earth, inadvertently made the town of Olten very happy when there was a malfunction at the nearby factory.

According to the Lindt & Spruengli company, a defect in a ventilator which was cooling pieces of crushed cocoa, as well as strong winds in the area, caused the pieces of chocolate to be swept through the ventilator and up into the sky before covering the town in a dusting of chocolate.

Officials from the town of Olten managed to snap an image of the 'chocolate snow' which had settled on a car and shared it with the world, making the rest of us fairly jealous.

Lindt & Spruengli confirmed that the ventilation system has been fixed and there shouldn't be any more plumes of chocolate coming from the sky, which was definitely bad news to some.

According to the company, they offered to pay to clean a car which had become covered in chocolate but haven't yet been taken up on the offer.

I wonder why that could be...
