Dubliners' mannequin challenge Irish house party video nails new internet craze

A GROUP of Dublin friends managed to nail all the characteristics of an Irish house party in their 'mannequin challenge' video.

In the new craze to sweep the internet, a 'mannequin challenge' is where people remain frozen in action while a video is recorded, usually with music in the background.

Creator of the video, Franky Harte told The Irish Post that it took a few attempts to make the video.

"It was a friend of mine's birthday yeah," he said. " it took three attempts to get it right."

Featuring numerous selfies, a game of beer pong, rifling in a box of Celebrations and making tea, this video has all the hallmarks of a typical Irish house party.

The video was made at a house party in Blanchardstown, west Dublin at the weekend and has so far received over 26,000 views.
