Ed Sheeran distances himself from Pro-Life campaign after his song is used by anti-abortion group

ED SHEERAN has taken to social media to denounce the use of one of his songs by the Pro-Life campaign ahead of next week's abortion referendum.

The pop superstar, who just finished a two-week tour of Ireland playing gigs in Cork, Galway and Dublin, took to Instagram this afternoon to inform people that it has been brought to attention that his song 'Small Bump' is being used to promote the anti-abortion campaign group.

Sheeran states that he had not given permission to the group to use the song and that its use "does not reflect what the song is about".

Here's the song in question.

Understandably, people are applauding Ed on Twitter for speaking out.
