The good weather looks set to continue this week

The Summery weather thankfully looks set to stay on the Emerald Isle.

This morning and this afternoon have been beautifully sunny and the heat looks to be staying for once - not without the traditional Irish scattered showers according to Met Éireann.

The sunny spells have been predicted to stay countrywide with the weather remaining dry along the east coast.

Scattered showers may develop more widely elsewhere, some will be heavy, with hail and thunder.

Top temperatures will range between 9 to 13 degrees.

Monday's weather for the day will begin as dry in the morning, with good sunny spells. Further sunshine at times in the afternoon, but with a few scattered showers too. Top temperatures will reach between 10 to 13 degrees.

Tuesday will also start dry in the morning. Rain in the west is set to spread to all parts during the day.. Top temperatures will hit between 9 to 12 degrees.

Wednesday will be a cool, calm, breezy day with sunshine and scattered showers. Top temperatures 9 to 12 C.

Thursday and Friday will be milder days, with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds.

Rather cloudy overall with possibly some mist and drizzle on Atlantic coasts.

But some bright weather too, best in the east of the country. Temperatures should be in the mid-teens, with potential to go higher.
