Incredible video of take-off from Donegal airport showcases Ireland's spectacular natural beauty

PREPARE TO feel homesick.

No matter how many times you see it, Ireland's spectacular natural beauty will always leave you in awe.

From the lakes of Killarney to the cliffs of Moher, Wicklow's vast mountains to Galway's gorgeous seafronts and everything in between, the Emerald Isle is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places on earth,

But every so often the opportunity arises to see Ireland in a whole new light, and it's somehow even more impressive-- as this unique clip of take-off from Donegal airport proves.

The video, taken on St Stephen's Day 2019, was recently uploaded to Reddit in celebration of 'Donegal Day'-- and with thousands of Irish people unable to come home to visit thanks to coronavirus restrictions, we can confirm it has caused a whole bunch of homesickness.

Sharing the video to Reddit, user Joy-Moderator wrote:

As it's #DonegalDay, here it is from above: A short clip recorded shortly after take-off from Donegal Airport en route to Dublin on St Stephen's Day 2019."

Taken on a spectacularly clear winters day, the video shows the very edge of the country; the hills, lakes and islands off Ireland's most northern county expanding out to the vast sea towards America.
