Irishman missing in Thailand for a week found in Bangkok hospital

AN IRISHMAN who went missing in Thailand a week ago has been found in a Bangkok hospital.

Anthony O’Sullivan, from Mitchelstown in Co. Cork, went missing on January 18.

When he disappeared, his passport and bank cards were still in his hotel room.

The 54-year-old’s brother Martin flew to Thailand to coordinate the search, while the Irish embassy offered consular assistance.

In a Facebook post today, Martin O’Sullivan confirmed his brother had been found and was in hospital.

He added: “Will know more when we see him.”

Anthony O’Sullivan was described as an experienced traveller, who had previously trekked in the Himalayas and visited Cambodia in recent years.
