Krispy Kreme forced to close Dublin 24-hour Drive-Thru after just one week

KRISPY KREME fans in Ireland have been dealt a hammer blow after the company confirmed it would be scaling back its donut drive-thru service.

Though customers will still be able to purchase Krispy Kreme doughnuts via the drive-thru up until 11:30pm every night, the service will cease after that time.

The move comes after several noise complaints in the area.

Footage of Krispy Kreme customers queues in their cars long into the night also surfaced, forcing the company to take action in a bid to keep locals happy.

"We know that the late-night noise has been upset for our neighbours. Some customers have been beeping their horns and disturbing families in nearby apartment complexes," a statement said.

Krispy Kreme has now confirmed the closure of the 24hr drive thru which will now be open between the hours of 6am and 11.30pm.

The company's Traffic Management Action Team who are still working to examine alternative options in relation to late night queue management so customers to enjoy doughnuts without impacting local residents.

Discussions are also ongoing with Fingal County Council, Blanchardstown Centre Management, local Garda Traffic Corp and Community Liaison with regard to options for consideration.

Krispy Kreme id keen to stress their determination to work with the Gardaí, Local Councillors and the Blanchardstown Centre Management to find a long term solution that works for everyone.

"We've listened to our neighbours and we're making changes," they added.
