Man stabbed by gang in Belfast attack

A MAN has been stabbed following a confrontation with a gang in Belfast.

The incident occurred in the Ravensdale Street area of Belfast on Saturday, 3rd February around 7 pm.

The victim and a friend were walking in the area when they were confronted by at least five men. One of the men stabbed the victim in the abdomen before fleeing the scene.

His friend was unharmed in the incident.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.

An 18-year-old was later arrested and released on bail pending further investigation.
