Men wearing Halloween masks rob Belfast KFC

POLICE in Belfast are investigating the robbery of a KFC restaurant by two men wearing Halloween masks.

Shortly before 10am this morning, police received a report that two men, wearing Halloween masks and armed with hammers, had entered the KFC on Shankill Road and demanded money.

According to a statement released by PSNI following the incident, both men fled the scene with a sum of cash.

No-one was hurt during the robbery, but staff at the restaurant were left badly-shaken by the ordeal.

The PSNI have appealed for witnesses and information.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson has appealed to anyone who was in the area and noticed any suspicious activity to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 413 06/10/18.

Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
