One-year-old Irish boy seriously injured following quad-bike crash in Dublin

A TODDLER has been seriously injured after a two-vehicle collision in Dublin on Thursday evening.

According to reports, a woman in her 20s had placed her one-year-old son on a stationary quad-bike on the side of the road when it was struck by a scrambler motorcycle.

The infant was rushed to Our Lady's Hospital in Crumlin, where he is currently being treated.

He is understood to be in a stable condition.

The rider of the scrambler, a 19-year-old man, was taken to a hospital in Tallaght where he is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing with witnesses to the incident, which occurred on Croftwood Crescent in Cherry Orchard just after 7pm.

The scene of the accident was closed off for forensic analysis and the scrambler has been removed from the scene.
