Pierce Brosnan’s best James Bond one-liners

Pierce Brosnan’s best James Bond one-liners

PIERCE BROSNAN made a brilliant James Bond for any number of reasons.

Cool, suave and ever so easy on the eye, the Irishman also had a knack for knowing when to play it serious and when to mine the character of 007 for laughs.

While Brosnan excelled in plenty of Bond’s more dramatic moments, it was his ability to deliver innuendo-laden one-liners with aplomb that put him alongside Sean Connery and Roger Moore as the very best 007s.

Here is a selection of Brosnan’s best lines as Bond – for your eyes only, of course.

Xenia Onatopp: “You don't need the gun.”

James Bond: “Well, that depends on your definition of safe sex.”

The World Is Not Enough

Bond: [In bed with Christmas Jones] “I was wrong about you.”

Christmas Jones: “Yeah, how so?”

Bond: “I thought Christmas only comes once a year.”

Die Another Day

James Bond: “I have been known to keep my tip up.”

James Bond: “Oh, I'm sure they're perfectly rounded.”

Bond: “[Fitting a belly button ring] See? It's a perfect fit.”

Jack Wade: “Jack Wade, CIA.”

Bond: “James Bond, stiff-ass Brit.”

The World Is Not Enough

Elektra: "You wouldn’t kill me. You’d miss me."

Bond: [Shoots Elektra] "I never miss."

Die Another Day

Bond: "I know the feeling."

The World Is Not Enough

Bond: “The world is not enough.”
