Shocking footage shows bin men being attacked by angry motorist in Dublin

SHOCKING FOOTAGE has been posted online showing two bin men being viciously attacked by an angry motorist in north Dublin.

The disturbing attack took place somewhere along Holywell Road in Donaghmede, just after 10am this past Friday, July 17.

In the footage, the attacker can be seen driving just behind the rubbish truck, which is making its way down the road, collecting and emptying bins.

Moments later, the seemingly impatient driver overtakes the truck and one other car before the situation takes a sinister turn.

Pulling up in front of the lorry, the attacker proceeds to exit his car and walk over to the bin truck, pulling open the door of vehicle to try and get to the driver.

The lorry briefly lurches backwards before, moments later, the man is seen jumping down from the driver’s side of the vehicle and making his way over to a second bin man busy wheeling another bin to the curb.

An angry confrontation ensues before the attacker returns to his car and takes a weapon out of the boot, hitting the stunner second bin man over the head several times with it.

Seconds later, he returns to his vehicle, making a quick escape while the injured bin man is left bloodied by the blow to his head.

The City Bin Co later confirmed that the employee that was attacked  is “shook but OK”.

“Thankfully our colleague is OK & an investigation is underway,” they wrote on Twitter . “Shocking stuff.
