CCTV footage of the animal being abandoned has gone viral.
The RSPCA has released video footage of a Staffordshire bull terrier being left behind as his owners speed off.
The video shows the car pulled up, and the owner leaving the dog's bed on a footpath.
The owner then returns to his car and tragically, the dog follows him and begs at the windows of the vehicle to be let in.

The RSPCA have since found the dog and have housed him for adoption.
The dog has been nicknamed Scoop.
