Sunny weather and scattered showers predicted for this weekend

Met Éireann has predicted a mainly warm, bright weekend for tomorrow and the day after.

The weather for June 15 is set to stay mostly cloudy with a few bright spells but also scattered showers.

Most of these showers will be in the northern half of Ireland, where some will be heavy, but they will become isolated this evening.

Maximum temperatures to stay between 13 to 16 Celsius, possibly 17 degrees in parts of the east and south.

Saturday, June 16 will see morning rain in the east of the country but this will clear and the day will see a mix of bright spells and scattered showers.

Most parts in the southern half of the country will stay largely dry and any showers will become isolated in the evening.

Maximum temperatures will range from 14 degrees to 19 degrees.

Sunday's weather will be cloudy with patchy outbreaks of light rain and drizzle.

Becoming drier in the evening, with some late brightness developing for southern areas.

Highest temperatures will be between 15 to 20 degrees.
