Teenage motorcyclist dies after three-vehicle collision in Dublin

A TEENAGER has died following a three-vehicle collision in Dublin last night.

The male, in his late teens, died after the motorcycle he was driving and a second motorcycle collided with a car.

Another male in his mid-teens, who was a passenger on one of the motorcycles, has been taken to hospital.

The incident occurred at around 10.15pm on the Finglas Road in Glasnevin, Co. Dublin.

Both males were taken to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, where the driver was later pronounced deceased.

The passenger’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The driver of the car was uninjured and no other injuries have been reported.

Appeal

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have completed their examination of the scene and the road is now re-open.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Any road users who were travelling on the Finglas Road on Saturday between 10.10pm and 10.25pm and who may have camera footage are asked to make it available to gardaí.
