An 18-month old toddler has died in Cork after being struck by a car.
The child was struck by a car on the driveway of a house near Skibbereen yesterday, Tuesday 25 January.
Gardaí and the fire brigade attended at the scene within minutes after the alarm was raised at around 5pm.
The toddler was transferred to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Coroner has been notified and Gardaí are treating the incident as a tragic accident.
