Tragedy as man, 33, dies after car crashes into wall in rural Ireland

A MAN has died after his car crashed into a wall in rural County Carlow.

The 33-year-old was seriously injured in the single-vehicle collision at Dunleckney, Bagenalstown at around 9am on Sunday morning.

He was rushed to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny before later being transferred to St James Hospital in Dublin.

Tragically, he passed away there late last night.

The road was closed following the incident to allow for an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators, but has now re-opened.
