Trains delayed in Dublin following 'planned and organised' graffiti attack

SEVERAL trains in Dublin were delayed last night after a group of youths carried out a graffiti attack.

Gardaí are investigating an incident whereby eleven youths blocked doors on a Dublin train and carried out a graffiti attack late yesterday evening.

The group entered a train at Clongriffin Dart Station at around 9.30pm and blocked the doors.

An Irish Rail spokesperson said that at least one carriage was taken out of service after its outside was completely covered in paint.

Witnesses suggested that some of the youths were armed with weapons.

The group left the scene in various directions.

Trains were delayed for up to an hour as a result.
